So... Pretty much my best friend, Sarah, just turned 21!! It was so fun!! On her birthday she got a party bus that came to pick everyone up at around 9. The guy was a huge jerk and tried to overcharge us. Once we came to an agreement, everyone loaded the bus and we headed to North Scottsdale for dinner.
Apparently, if your under 21 and its past 6:30, you can't enter the restraunt, so Chad and I took his mom's truck and went to The Golden Arches. I've had a thing for chicken nuggets :) After we ate and dealt with someone else trying to rip us off, (I guess desperate times call for desperate measures) we went and picked up Chad's mom, and a few family friends that didn't feel the need to party all night... In other words, had work the next morning.
Instead of going straight home, we went to pick up Sarah's kids at their grandma's house. At least that was the attempt. After driving around the Scottsdale for 25 minutes we finally found the house. It was quite an entertaining drive. Bobby, a mesa cop, was telling us all about the weird calls he had lately, while Christie and Lisa tried to navigate a huge Expedition. On the way home most of us fell asleep, so when we got back Christie and Lisa were trying to figure out who was carrying who inside. Quite a funny thing since Bobby is like 6'5" and his arm is bigger than both of them.
Over all it was a fun night, but the next day was what was really fun. I went over to Chad's first thing and we started discussing what to do until he went to work. We tossed around a few ideas, but then I jokingly said, "Quit. I did." This joke continued until I said, "Quit and we will drive to Payson." Chad hesitated and gave in. He may not have quit, but within 10 minutes he had called in, we had cracked jokes about how far his truck would make it, loaded up his mom's truck, and started driving. An hour and a half later we were driving around Payson and going in cute little candy shops, and I was tempted to drive a little farther and sneak in on my old stake's girls camp. (Heck, I missed mine this year due to Canada, so why not crash your guys's?) Instead we went and saw this town lake, got food, and started on our way back. We got back in about an hour... Yes, Chad had a lead foot. We spent time with Chad's brother while he was in town and just relaxed for the night. It was a ton of fun.
